In power-off mode, during which a key switch is turned off, in order to periodically detect the voltage of the battery to prevent over-discharge of the battery and to make it possible to address theft, this remote monitoring system enables communication over a communication device between a control device 10 of an agricultural work vehicle 1, a management server 3 of a management center 2, and terminal devices of a user 6 and the sales outlet 8. The agricultural work vehicle 1 is provided with a positioning device 33, a voltage sensor 21 acting as a voltage detection means for the battery 7, and a timing means, and connects to the control device 10. In power-saving standby mode, during which the key switch 36 is off, the control device 10 automatically starts up at a set time in accordance with a start-up command from the management center, sends the current position of the agricultural work vehicle 1, the voltage of the battery 7, and the time and date to the management server 3 over the communication device, and a remote monitoring means provided in the management server 3 notifies the user 6 and the sales outlet 8 if the voltage of the battery 7 fall to less than a set value. |
