A device for sealing a valve (102) bag (100) and corresponding process. The device comprises a sealing clamp (2) movable between an open position allowing the insertion of the valve (102) and a sealing position of the mouth of the valve (102). The device also comprises a foreclamp (8) having first and second foreclamp (8) parts (10, 12). The foreclamp (8) is arranged adjacent the sealing clamp (2) and is movable between an open position allowing the insertion of the valve (102) between the first and second foreclamp (8) parts (10, 12) and a closed position in which the foreclamp (8) holds the mouth (104) of the valve (102). In use, the foreclamp (8) takes up the closed position before the sealing clamp (2) takes up said sealing position. The invention further contemplates a process applying the device of the invention.
