Disclosed is a lighting control method. The lighting control method includes a step of obtaining an image; a step of detecting an object from the obtained image and determining a lighting mode based on the detected object; a step of determining illuminance according to the determined lighting mode; a step of determining a color temperature based on the color of the detected object; and a step of controlling lighting by using at least one of the determined illuminance and the determined color temperature. So, a lighting environment suitable for a dining table can be displayed.
