<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical instrument in which the end of a reinforcement layer is formed to be thinner while suppressing the floating of reinforcement bodies such as linear objects. <P>SOLUTION: An outer tubular part 31 includes: an inner layer 41 for regulating the whole inner peripheral surface of the outer tubular part 31; an outer layer 42 for regulating the whole outer peripheral surface of the outer tubular part 31; and an intermediate layer 43 arranged to be held between the inner layer 41 and the outer layer 42. The intermediate layer 43 is formed as a braided tube by braiding metallic linear objects in a mesh shape. A contrast ring 45 is arranged at the distal end of the intermediate layer 43. In this case, a tapered area 43b to be gradually thinner toward the distal end is formed in the intermediate layer 43, and the contrast ring 45 is arranged to cover the tapered area 43b. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
