The present invention relates to a closure clip for closing tubular or bag-shaped packaging for bulk produce such as fruit or vegetables. The closure clip includes two first and second arms (20, 30) extending substantially in a plane and aligned at least approximately parallel to each other, said arms having first and second ends (22, 32; 24, 34) and a base portion (40) extending in the centre plane (E) defined by the arms (20, 30) and having an inner and an outer surface (46, 48), said base portion connecting the first and second arms (20,30) at their first ends (22, 32) and forming an approximately U-shaped closure clip. The closure clip (10) further comprises a first spike (50) having a first end (52) and a second end (54), extending from the inner surface (46) of the base portion (40) between the arms (20, 30) and parallel thereto, and connected with its first end (52) to the base portion (40), wherein the length of the first spike (50) is at least equal to a dimension of the cross-section of at least one of the arms (20, 30). The closure clip (10) further comprises at least one second spike (60) having a first and second ends (62; 64), which extends from the inner surface (46) of the base portion (40) between one of the arms (20; 30) and the first spike (50) and parallel thereto and is connected with its first end (62) to the base portion (40), wherein the length of the second spike (60) is shorter than the length of the first spike (50). |
