PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of repairing an impeller after use in a mechanical agitator for re-use which allows repair of the impeller without production of large amounts of waste of a refractory material or a core metal.SOLUTION: A method of repairing an impeller for a mechanical agitator is for an impeller 1 consisting of a shank 2 and a blade part 3 and comprises dismantling exclusively a refractory material of the whole of the blade part of the impeller after use and the refractory material in the lower part of the shank connected to the refractory material of the blade part and casting an unshaped refractory material so as to cover the exposed shank core metal 4 and the exposed blade part core metal 5 and form a refractory material layer 7 of a thickness corresponding to the thickness of the refractory material layer before use. |
