Securing device with a main shaft portion 14 and a helical securing portion 20 on the shaft portion, the helix spiral portion defining a central space. Also disclosed are two securing arrangements comprising the securing device in combination with; a holding device for holding an article to the ground, a drive transmission device for transmitting a force to rotate the helix so that it screws into the ground. An indicating arrangement is also disclosed comprising an indicating device through which the shaft of the securing device can extend. A method of using the securing device is also disclosed, as are a holding device, a drive transmission device, and an indicating device, all three independent from the securing device. The securing device may have an engaging portion 22, which may be flat and circular. The securing device may be screwed into the ground to secure erosion control matting 100. |
