摘要 The energy recovery transmission comprises a friction engagement device, such as a clutch 4, a cooling fluid input arranged to supply cooling fluid to the friction engagement device, and a cooling flow controller that controls the flow to the friction engagement device. The cooling flow controller is arranged to generally increase cooling flow with the state of engagement of the friction engagement device, such as increased flow with increased transmitted torque and speed differential across the device or dissipated power of the friction engagement device during a slip event. The flow controller may operate at two discrete flow rates and cooling fluid may flow for a predetermined time period before or after an engagement event.
