A system adapted to handle chemotherapeutic drugs and waste deriving from the use thereof, having a substantially closed box-like structure comprising:
- at least one compartment adapted to receive a waste container (3), said container being adapted to contain both solid waste, including sharp objects, and liquid waste, and being removably abutted on at least one waste loading well (1) with an aperture accessible from the outside of the system;
- at least one grid plate (2) positioned alongside said loading well (1), adapted for being accessible from the outside of the system and acting as a support for material to be treated, and communicating with said at least one waste container (3) through a drain duct (5);
- an air intake and filtering system communicating with said at least one waste container (3) and said at least one grid plate (2), adapted to output purified air from the system. |
