<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate musically natural and various music. <P>SOLUTION: A music generation device 100A generates music in which each of multiple unit intervals are given melodies. A storage unit 24 stores multiple melody data DM to specify different melodies. An information acquisition unit 32 acquires chord progression data DC to specify a chord progression of the music in response to an instruction from a user. A music generation unit 34 calculates a melody evaluation value of each melody data DM in accordance with relationship between a chord progression in the unit interval specified by the chord progression data DC and the melody specified by the melody data DM for each of multiple unit intervals, and selects either of multiple melody data DM depending on the melody evaluation value of each melody data DM in the unit interval for each of multiple unit intervals. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
