PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering system capable of appropriately dispersing heat dissipated in a normal state while making it possible to diminish degradation in an assisting ability when an abnormality occurs.SOLUTION: An electric power steering system includes an assist motor that generates an assistive torque, a first-system drive circuit and second-system drive circuit that are connected in parallel with the assist motor and feed a driving current to the assist motor, and a control unit. The control unit alternately activates the first-system drive circuit and second-system drive circuit so as to activate the assist motor. |
