摘要 The present invention relates to a method to select a first hybrid generation of a plant body, predicting a total protein content, and selecting a species containing high protein using Fourier-transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy and multivariate statistical analysis. More specifically, the method to select the first hybrid generation of the plant body, predicting a total protein content, and selecting a species containing high protein using FT-IR spectroscopy and multivariate statistical analysis comprises: a step of obtaining an extract from a plant body; a step of using the extract to obtain an FT-IR spectroscopy spectrum profile; a step of using multivariate statistical analysis to perform one or more among multivariate statistical analysis methods consisting of principal component analysis (PCA), partial least squares-discriminant analysis (PLS-DA), and partial least squares regression (PLSR); and a step of discriminating a first hybrid generation from parental lines of the plant body from an analysis result. According to the present invention, simple work is able to be performed to select a first hybrid generation of a plant body by a method of excellent reliability; predict a total protein content; and select a species containing high protein to effectively improve a species of a plant body, specifically a major plant such as corn, potato, and rice.
