METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PREDICTING INTERFERENCE OF UNLICENSE BANDS IN LICENSE BAND WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS

A base station of a wireless communications system of a licensed band comprises the following steps to predict down link interference of an unlicensed band that a terminal should receive: measuring the density of an unlicensed device for transmitting a signal in an unlicensed band; predicting a distance between the base station and the terminal; measuring, by using the distance, a probability value when a signal to interference plus noise ratio (SINR) received in the terminal is greater than or equal to a threshold value; and then, determining a transmission modulation and coding (MCS) mode by using the probability value.
