A system installed in an agricultural environment for the purpose of automating the process of counting and identifying agricultural pests. In this invention, an imaging system (e.g., a camera) is used in conjunction with a computing device, a computer vision program and a protective enclosure to capture an image of a pest monitoring surface (e.g., yellow or blue sticky trap), and analyze it to count and identify the pests on the monitoring surface. |
