PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery including a positive electrode that contains a transition metal and lithium, capable of inhibiting the degradation of the nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery caused by the elution of the transition metal from the positive electrode, and capable of maintaining small internal resistance and high electric capacity during high-temperature storage, or charging and discharging under high-temperature conditions.SOLUTION: The nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery includes a negative electrode capable of absorbing and desorbing lithium, a positive electrode containing a transition metal and lithium, and a nonaqueous electrolytic solution containing an organic solvent and a lithium salt dissolved therein. The nonaqueous electrolytic solution contains a fluorosilane compound obtained by substituting alkyldifluorosilyl groups for 3 to 14 hydrogen atoms in a C1-C6 hydrocarbon, preferably a fluorosilane compound represented by the formula (1), where Rrepresents a C1-C8 alkyl group, and n represents a number of 3 or 4. |
