发明名称 Merry-go-round
摘要 787,964. Roundabouts. CHEREAU, A. Nov. 21, 1955, No. 33252/55. Class 132(1) A merry-go-round comprises a plurality of vehicles 4a, 4b, e.g. simulating aircraft, mounted on the ends of arms 3a, 3b pivoted to means which alter the sequence of the vehicles and are supported on carriages 2, the vehicles being raised and lower at at the will of their occupants by rams 13a, 13b mounted on the sequence changing means whose piston rods are connected to the arms. As shown, arms 3a, 3b are attached to the ends of stub arm members 39, 40 pivoted on a vertical shaft 38 supported by brackets 37 carried on a carriage 2 which travels on a rail 5. Rams 13a, 13b are mounted on supports 49, 48 carried on shaft 38 respectively above member 40 and spaced below member 40 by sleeve 50. Members 39, 40 carry rack or gear segments 41, 42 on their inner ends which engage a gear 43 mounted on a shaft 44 driven by motor 45 through reduction gearing. The members 39, 40 are thus pivoted about shaft 38 causing arms 3a, 3b to move in opposite directions and, by controlling motor 45, the arms can be moved from one extreme position to the other so as to reverse the order of each pair of vehicles in the circuit. Arms 3a, 3b may have stops or fenders to prevent collisions as the aeroplanes pass one another. In a modification, Fig. 5 (not shown), the arms are pivoted to discs mounted on the shafts of planet gears mounted so as to be rotated by gear 43 acting as sun gear.
