The striking plate (14) has a strike plate main portion that is formed of two recesses (20,22) for receiving an accumulating case, and is inserted into a recess (12) of a frame (10). The accumulating case is comprised of a catch slope facing a web (18) behind the strike plate main portion. A cap (26) which overlaps the web towards the accumulating case is provided in the region of the recesses. The cap is equipped with a ramp for accumulating the accumulating case. An independent claim is included for a method for manufacturing a striking plate or a strip.
