Disclosed is an authentication system, capable of enhancing the security of Internet payment by enhancing an authentication procedure. For example, the system includes: an authentication server performing Internet payment; a first terminal connected to the authentication server through a wire/wireless communication network; and a second terminal paired with the first terminal when the first terminal is connected to the authentication server. The first and second terminals perform pairing by exchanging a pre-stored ID through the wire/wireless communication network.
