The present invention relates to an electrochemical unit cell and, more specifically, to an electrochemical unit cell comprising a separation plate having a concave-convex structure (凹凸) to drastically improve performance and durability of a membrane electrode assembly by improving a blending effect of an electrolyte. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the electrochemical unit cell comprises: an MEA in which a catalyst is coated on both surfaces of an electrolyte membrane so that electrodes are respectively formed thereon; a pair of current conductive plates which are respectively and sequentially provided on both sides of the MEA; a packing; a separation plate; and a frame, wherein the separation plate having a concave-convex structure (凹凸) has a concave-shaped first separation area (凹) and a convex-shaped second separation area (凸), and the first separation area (凹) and the second separation area (凸) are located on the same line.
