This light emitting apparatus is provided with: an excimer lamp that is provided with a lamp housing, which has inside thereof filled with a gas for electrical discharge, and which has a light outputting section, a discharging electrode that is provided on the outer surface of the lamp housing, and a tubular section, which is formed on the lamp housing, and which protrudes and extends toward the outside from the lamp housing; a power supply section that supplies power to the discharging electrode; a lamp supporting section that supports the excimer lamp; a trigger electrode that applies to the excimer lamp a voltage to be a trigger; a trigger power supply section that supplies power to the trigger electrode; and an outer housing that houses the excimer lamp, power supply section, lamp supporting section, trigger electrode and trigger power supply section. The trigger electrode is in point-contact with the outer surface of the tubular section. |
