In MU MIMO transmissions (e.g., NOMA, MUST), the network coschedules a near UE and at least one far UE and provides assistance to the near UE regarding the configuration parameters of the transmission to the far UE so as to facilitate interference cancellation at the near UE detector. In particular, the network determines a subset of parameter configurations about the transmission to the far UE which communicates to the far UE by high layer signalling. Before each coscheduled transmission, the network signals dynamically using physical layer to the near UE which of the configuration parameter(s) from the determined subset are used. Using this scheme, the overhead of dynamic signalling is minimized and blind detection requiring searching over a large number of parameter configurations is avoided. |
