<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a product based on a specification describing that a tray with a small capacity and a tray with a large capacity should be provided using a common frame structure, and to drive a pressure plate in each tray with a sheet loaded thereon by a driving source arranged in the common frame structure. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus based on one specification is manufactured by disposing a first tray between a pair of body frames 21. An image forming apparatus based on the other specification in which a second tray with a capacity larger than that of the first tray is disposed is manufactured by attaching an extension member 200 to the bottom of a pair of the body frames 21. When each tray is moved in a sliding manner so as to be arranged between the body frames 21, each gear of driving mechanisms 410 and 420 for the pressure plates 32 and 132 for pushing up a sheet is engaged with a gear 45 arranged in the body frames 21, and the pressure plates 32 and 132 are raised toward a pickup roller 33 by the common driving source 46. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
