The present invention relates to an electronic component capable of inhibiting acoustic noise and being mounted in a stable posture. The electronic component of the present invention comprises: an electronic element (10) having two external electrodes (12) on the surface thereof; and a board-type terminal (20) including a board main body (21) having an electric insulation property, two mounted electrodes (22) installed on a main surface (21a) of one side of the board main body (21) and electrically connected to each of the two external electrodes (12), and the electronic element (10) mounted on the main surface (21a) of one side. From the main surface (21a) of one side, a part of the two external electrodes (12) is located outer than the external edge of the board-type terminal (20). In the direction perpendicular to the main surface (21a) of one side, the thickness (To) from an end portion of the direction opposite to the board-type terminal (20) in the two external electrodes (12) to an end portion of the direction opposite to the electronic element (10) in the board-type terminal (20) is less than or equal to the greater width of either the width of the electronic element (10) or the width of the board-type terminal (20) in the direction perpendicular to the direction connecting the two external electrodes (12) in a shortest distance, or in the direction along the main surface (21a) of one side. |
