The present invention relates to a technology of quickly diagnosing, at the same time, a hardware fault and a software fault of a DC-DC converter circuit by integrating and then efficiently driving a voltage/current control unit for controlling a switch of the converter circuit and a fault diagnosis unit in the low voltage DC-DC converter which is used in a vehicle. In addition, the present invention relates to a technology of effectively analyzing a cause of fault after the fact when the DC-DC converter circuit is diagnosed as faulty. According to the present invention, fault diagnosing time for the converter circuit may be reduced, and the fault diagnosis and a fault processing of the low voltage DC-DC converter may be appropriately performed without degrading of a general system performance, by integrating the voltage/current control unit and the fault diagnosis unit into the fault diagnosis control unit in the low voltage DC-DC converter and sharing resources of the voltage/current control unit and the fault diagnosis unit. Further, a time duration for which the low voltage DC-DC converter has the hardware fault may be minimized and durability may extend by quickly performing the fault diagnosis. |
