According to an embodiment of the present invention, a method for managing blood sugar using a blood sugar management application that is installed in a portable terminal, and may manage blood sugar in connection with a server, comprises the steps of: allowing the blood sugar management application to transmit user information input by a user to the server; allowing the blood sugar management application to operate a camera module by using a camera application of the portable terminal; allowing the blood sugar management application to extract a blood sugar value, displayed on a display of a glucometer, from a taken image including the blood sugar value when the image is taken by the camera module; and allowing the blood sugar management application to analyze the blood sugar value and display an icon corresponding to the analyzed blood sugar value among icons that may intuitively display a blood sugar condition of the user. |
