Provided is a server for predicting future traffic conditions, which receives current traffic condition information, future event information and unexpected incident information from an external traffic control center server, thus predicting the future traffic conditions starting from now to the next 24 hours in a predetermined road section, wherein the external traffic control center server is configured to receive and store in real time the current traffic condition information on various road sections including the predetermined road section and configured to receive and store the future event information and the unexpected incident information including construction information, event information and weather information on the predetermined road section in the future. The server for prediction future traffic conditions comprises: a database server configured to receive, process, and store the current traffic condition information, the future event information and the unexpected incident information on each road section from the external traffic control center server; a user interface module configured to control functions executed in the server for predicting the future traffic conditions from a user perspective and to display outputs consequent on execution of the functions; and a future traffic condition prediction system, which is a traffic condition prediction system to predict traffic conditions when a future event happens in a predetermined road section and to provide a result of the prediction to a server operator, configured to analyze and predict a short-term traffic condition starting from now to the next one hour and a medium/long-term traffic condition after an hour to the next 23 hours, based on numerous traffic condition-related parameters input through the user interface module and referring to data in the database server. |
