1. A method of inhibiting activation of the Wnt signaling pathway, said method comprising the step of administering a monoclonal antibody or antigen binding fragment comprising:
a heavy chain variable region CDR1 having the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 9, a heavy chain variable region CDR2 having the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 11, a heavy chain variable region CDR3 having the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 13, a light chain variable region CDR1 having an amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 15, a light chain variable region CDR2 having the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 17, and a light chain variable region CDR3 having the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 19; and wherein the monoclonal antibody or antigen binding fragment thereof specifically binds to an epitope within the LRP6 extracellular domain, wherein the LRP6 extracellular domain has the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 2.
