Disclosed is a secondary battery for preventing explosion due to overcurrent. The secondary battery includes an electrode assembly which comprises a first electrode and a second electrode, a case which accommodates the electrode assembly, a cap plate which is installed in the opening of the case, closes the case, has a terminal hole, and is connected to the first electrode by a lead tap, and a first electrode terminal and a second electrode terminal which are connected to the electrode assembly and protrude to the outside of the cap plate. The first electrode terminal may include lead terminals connected to the cap plate, and a plate terminal which is supported by the lead terminal and protrudes to the outside of the cap plate. |
