The present invention relates to an apparatus of monitoring the health of a companion animal and a health monitoring system using the same. The apparatus of monitoring the health of a companion animal comprises: a fixture fixed to the body of a companion animal; a storage unit storing information on the health and medical treatment of the companion animal; a communication unit communicating with other devices; and a control unit controlling the operations of the abovementioned components. Thus, the apparatus stores health information such as an amount of workout, feed consumption, sleeping hours, pulse information, or body temperature information, medical information such as a medical record or the like of the companion animal, thus enabling continuous health management of the companion animal and facilitating a medical treatment thereof. The apparatus comprises: a health monitoring device enabling continuous health management using information stored in the storage unit in the case of the handover or loss of the companion animal; a portable terminal communicating with the health monitoring device; and a server communicating with the portable terminal, and providing information requested by the portable terminal to the portable terminal. Thus, the apparatus may enable an owner of the companion animal to check a health condition or the like of the companion animal through the portable terminal, to search for an animal clinic close to the companion animal based on a location signal of the health monitoring device, and to receive recent medical treatment information suitable for a kind of companion animal. |
