A described embodiment relates to an image processing device and a method thereof which improve quality of a displayed image when the image is enlarged and displayed. The image processing method comprises the following steps of: preparing a first image; designating at least one region of interest (ROI) in the first image; and generating restoration data. A second image restored by using the restoration data corresponds to the ROI. The resolution of the second image is higher than the resolution of a portion corresponding to the ROI in the first image.
