PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress inclination of a cross-axis gear due to occurrence of moment, improving the performance of a rigidity backlash in meshing the cross-axis gear.SOLUTION: A steering apparatus for an in-wheel motor vehicle includes a steering mechanism S1 that is disposed on an axial line of a king pin shaft Kp and steers a motor-driven steering wheel 1 around the king pin shaft Kp by means of rotation of an ununiform speed face gear 23 (a cross-axis gear). In the steering apparatus, a pressing spring 24 for exerting a pressing force in a direction of increasing a gear-meshing force is disposed beneath a gear-meshing portion 29 of the ununiform speed face gear 23.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
