PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow for application to a plurality of modulation systems by one optical transmission system LSI.SOLUTION: An optical transmission system integrated circuit including an input section (10) and a digital coherent signal processing section (144) further includes a plurality of mapping sections (12, 124, 128, 132) for outputting a transmission signal, including some or all of a plurality of input signals, at the same symbol rate while mapping to symbols of a modulation system depending on the bit rate, and a selector (134) for inputting one of the outputs from the plurality of mapping sections selectively to a digital coherent signal processing section. An extract section for extracting a part of one input signal is also provided, and the actual data bit other than dummy data bits included in an input signal can be extracted from the input signal and included in the transmission signal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
