PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parachute which can receive a sufficient resistance force even with two suspension ropes.SOLUTION: A parachute 1 of this invention comprises a bag-like resistor 2 that receives air resistance, and two suspension ropes 3, one end of each is connected to the resistor 2, and the other end of each is connectable to a braking object 4. The resistor 2 comprises an opening 21 through which air passes, a bottom 22 provided in the side facing the opening 21, and a side part 23 provided by extending while expanding from the bottom 22 toward the circumference 24 of the opening 21. The side part 23 comprises a base part 23a having an almost constant height over the whole from the bottom 22 and two tapered extension parts 23b extending while each shrinking the width from the base part 23a by making each of two ends present at mutually symmetric positions with respect to the center of the opening 21 out of the circumference 24 of the opening 21 serve as the apex. One end of each of two ropes 3 is connected to the other end of the two extension parts 23b.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
