PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separator forming device that can suppress the cost required to form a separator having an extension portion from a base material for the separator.SOLUTION: A separator forming device 100 forms a separator 40 with which a positive electrode 20 and a negative electrode 30 are sealed by a jacket material while electrically insulated from each other, and pinches an extension portion 40t partially extending from a main body portion 40s by exterior materials while the main body portion 40s are confronted to the positive electrode and the negative electrode while the positive electrode and the negative electrode are separated from each other. A separator forming part 140 has a first cutting blade 141b and a second cutting blade 141c. The first cutting blade cuts a separator base material 40A to form one end 40m of the separator 40. The second cutting blade is provided with a projecting portion 141ca for forming an extension portion, and cuts the separator base material to form the other end 40n of the separator which confronts the one end and has an extension portion. The first cutting blade and the second cutting blade are overlapped with each other at a portion where the tip of the extension portion of the separator is formed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 |
