PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a curable resin composition that has excellent photocurable properties and, when used as a sealant for a liquid crystal display element, can suppress liquid crystal contamination, and provide a sealant for a liquid crystal display element, a vertical conduction material, and a liquid crystal display element prepared with the curable resin composition.SOLUTION: A curable resin composition comprises a curable resin and a compound represented by the following formula (1) where X is a hydrogen atom, a C1-C4 alkyl group, a hydroxy group, a thiol group, a methoxy group, an ethoxy group, or a -OCHCOOH group, Y is an oxygen atom or a sulfur atom, and Z is a C1-C3 alkylene group.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
