PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste ink recovery unit that can reduce such risk that an ink introduction port of a waste ink recovery container is blocked by ink that is easily thickened.SOLUTION: A maintenance unit 20 of a printer comprises a waste ink recovery container 24 for recovering waste ink. The waste ink recovery container 24 is connected with tubes 22A and 22B. The tube 22A is branched into a tube 22Bk and a tube 22Y, and the tube 22B is branched into a tube 22C and a tube 22M. Black ink Bk and yellow ink Y are merged and mixed at the tube 22A to be introduced into the waste ink recovery container 24. Similarly, cyan ink C and magenta ink M are merged and mixed at the tube 22B to be introduced into the waste ink recovery container 24, and then merged and mixed in a flow channel in the waste ink recovery container 24.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
