PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an image quality of image data from being deteriorated, while reducing a capacity of a storage section for storing image data.SOLUTION: A buffer size of an image data buffer 100 is set so as to store image data which are obtained by scanning a part of a document. Thereafter, in the case of main scan processing, while writing image data which are obtained by scanning all the image data into the image data buffer 100 for each line, image data of lines which are written before are successively read from the image data buffer 100 and erased from the image data buffer 100. Thus, while using the image data buffer 100 with a smaller capacity than the size capable of storing image data of all the lines which are obtained by scanning all the document, the main scan processing can be performed by buffering the image data which are obtained by scanning all the document without compressing them.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
