PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cross beam installation metal fitting for a guard fence that allows a cross beam to be installed on a support post readily and offers excellent appearance.SOLUTION: A cross beam installation metal fitting includes a pair of upper and lower cross beam installation metal fitting bodies 1a, 1b of a form of a halved tubular body, having a contacting surface 4 with a support post 2 on one end. A bolt hole 6 is formed on a top surface of the upper cross beam installation metal fitting body 1a, for inserting a cross beam installation bolt 5, and a bolt hole 7 is formed on an undersurface of the lower cross beam installation metal fitting body 1b, for inserting the cross beam installation bolt 5. Protrusions 9a, 9b are formed on the contacting surface 4 of each of the cross beam installation metal fitting bodies 1a, 1b, the protrusions being engaged with an opening 8 formed on the support post 2. The protrusions 9a, 9b are engaged with the opening 8 as an interval (L) between the cross beam installation metal fitting bodies 1a, 1b widens, when a cross beam 3 is sandwiched between the cross beam installation metal fitting bodies 1a, 1b.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
