PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a socket, an adapter, or an assembly jig which allows further flexible utilization of an image formation system.SOLUTION: A socket comprises: a first substrate 110 including a module installation part 112 on which a module having an imaging device and a subject is mounted and an electric connection part 130 which electrically connects the imaging device with an external device; a second substrate 150 including an opening part 152; and an engagement part which engages the first substrate with the second substrate under the condition that the first substrate and the second substrate sandwich the module mounted on the module installation part. When the engagement part engages the first substrate with the second substrate under the condition that the first substrate and the second substrate sandwich the module mounted on the module installation part, the electric connection part is electrically connected with the imaging device and the subject receives illumination light passing through the opening part from a light source.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 13A
