摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a glass fine particle deposition body that prevents a boundary surface mismatching part from being formed without causing any outer diameter variation at a return position of relative reciprocal movement of a rod.SOLUTION: There is provided a method of manufacturing a glass fine particle deposition body that deposits glass fine particles by arranging a plurality of burners 4b at opposite positions of a rod 3 rotating on an axis, and spraying glass fine particles produced through hydrolysis reaction with flames of the burners 4b on the rod 3 while relatively and reciprocally moving the rod 3 and burners 4b in an axial direction of the rod 3, a plurality of interference layers being deposited with a return position of reciprocal movement fixed at the start of deposition of the glass fine particles, and glass fine particles being deposited by moving the return position on every reciprocal movement after the plurality of interference layers are deposited.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
