PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an efficient power generating system for a vessel.SOLUTION: A power generation system 10 includes a casing 12 of a fusiform of which both ends are opened, and a tubular main body which is rotatably disposed in the casing so that an axis thereof is coincident with a lengthwise direction axis of the casing 12 and of which both ends are opened. A spiral blade is so attached as to extend towards a center over at least a part from one end to the other end of the main body, the one end of the main body is so located as to be coincident with one opening of the casing 12, and the other end of the main body is so located as to be coincident with the other opening of the casing 12. The power generation system further includes: an electric generator disposed in the casing 12; a wire for connecting the casing 12 and a vessel to each other; and a storage battery disposed on the vessel. When the vessel advances on sea or lake, water stream introduced from the one end of the main body contacts a blade thereby rotating the main body, a turning force obtained in this manner is transmitted to a rotary shaft of the electric generator thereby performing electric power generation, and obtained electric power is stored in the storage battery.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
