PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for measuring the Young's modulus of polymer of rubber which is not easily influenced by fillers.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for measuring the Young's modulus of polymer of rubber, including the steps of: heating the rubber; detecting the amount of the rubber which has been gasified by the heating; determining a temperature of gasification which maximizes the amount of gasified rubber; and measuring the Young's modulus from the temperature of gasification of the rubber based on the relation between the temperature of gasification of rubber material with a known Young's modulus and the Young's modulus.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
