PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information providing device for a vehicle, that suppresses a movement amount of a visual line of a user visually recognizing a display unit to a required minimum, and thereby is capable of improving a human-machine interface.SOLUTION: An information providing device for a vehicle includes: a vehicular meter having a first display unit and first control means for operating the first display unit; and external devices connected to the vehicular meter via connection means. The first display unit has: a first display region R1 for displaying prescribed information D1 out of vehicle state information; and a second display region R2 for displaying other information D2 of the vehicle state information. When determined that the vehicular meter and the external devices are in a connected state, the first control means causes the first display unit to operate so as to display icons 410 related to operation of the external devices in the second display region R2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
