PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus and method for sequentially imaging a subject many times, with which exposure time taking a temporal change of light to be imaged into consideration is calculated.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus comprises an imaging unit 20 for sequentially imaging a subject many times, a subject light information acquisition unit 110 for acquiring information on light to be imaged, and an exposure time calculation unit 112 for selecting a calculation method of exposure time for imaging according to aging characteristics of the light on the basis of the information on the light acquired by the subject light information acquisition unit 110 and calculating exposure time for each imaging using the selected calculation method of exposure time.
