PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a secondary battery capable of achieving both battery characteristics and safety properties.SOLUTION: A secondary battery includes a positive electrode, a negative electrode and an electrolyte containing a nonaqueous solvent and an electrolyte salt. The nonaqueous solvent contains a fluorinated cyclic compound, and the electrolyte salt contains a fluorinated imide compound.
