PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray diagnostic apparatus and an X-ray diaphragm thereof that prevent the capacity of a movable diaphragm body from increasing by securing evacuation capacity in evacuating diaphragm blades.SOLUTION: An X-ray diagnostic apparatus includes: an X-ray tube for generating an X-ray to be irradiated to a subject; an X-ray diaphragm for forming an X-ray irradiation field where the X-ray tube irradiates an X-ray by opening/closing an irradiation port that an X-ray passes through, and housing an X-ray shield member divided along the opening/closing direction so as to fold it on the side face of the X-ray tube when the irradiation port is opened; an X-ray detector irradiated with the X-ray that has passed through the irradiation port for detecting the X-ray that has transmitted the subject; and an image data generation part for generating image data based on the X-ray detected by the X-ray detector.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
