PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface modifier excellent in slipperiness and smoothness of a surface while adding antifouling property and fingerprint resistance to the surface of a resin, a film, a fiber, a glass or a resin of metals or the like.SOLUTION: There is provided a surface modifier which (i) is a fluorine-containing copolymer which is a copolymer of (meth)acrylic acid ester basket B having the general formula A and an aromatic hydrocarbon group and a (meth)acrylic acid ester compound of hydroxy group-terminated alkylene oxide and has the content of the fluorine in the copolymer of 1% to 10%, and (ii) contains condensed hydroxy fatty acid. In the formula A, Ris a C2 to 50 bivalent group, Ris H or a methyl group and Rf is a group represented by formulae (1) or (2).SELECTED DRAWING: None |
