PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: an electrode which enables the improvement of battery cycle characteristics by increasing a heat resistance which has been a problem for a conventional secondary battery such as a lithium secondary battery; and a secondary battery arranged by use of such an electrode.SOLUTION: A binder composition for a battery positive electrode comprises: (I)a constitutional unit derived from a (meth)acrylate monomer (A) having a hydroxyl group; (II)a polymer including a constitutional unit derived from a multifunction (meth)acrylate monomer (B); and a polyvinylidene fluoride-based resin. The enhancement in high-temperature battery characteristics is achieved by using the binder composition, which has been a problem with a secondary battery.SELECTED DRAWING: None
