PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress temperature rising of a driving element while smoothly executing a function for processing read data.SOLUTION: A device includes: receiving means for receiving a selection of a function including an operation relating to reading of a document from among a plurality of kinds of functions; execution means for executing the function including the operation relating to the reading of the document; and stop control means that determines whether it is necessary to suppress temperature rising of a predetermined driving element and when a determination is made that the suppression is required, in accordance with the kind of the selected function, stop control is performed on the predetermined driving element.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10 |
