PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high voice checker for an elevator in which a periodic inspection performing operation inspection of the high voice checker is automatically and adequately performed with high accuracy so that an inspection work at an actual site can be omitted.SOLUTION: In a high voice checker 7, inspection appropriateness determination means 73 determines appropriateness of operation inspection execution for a high voice detection device 4 on the basis of a door opening/closing signal of a car door 2 in a car 1 from a controller 5 and an in-car load signal from a load detection device 3. Large volume inspection tone output command means 71 commands an output setting of a large volume inspection tone to inspection tome output means 61 of an inspection tone ringing device 6, and low volume inspection tone output command means 72 commands an output setting of a low volume inspection tone thereto. Inspection result determination means 74 checks whether signal output means 43 of the high voice detection device 4 outputs a sensing signal for both of different sound pressure levels in the car 1 to determine the inspection result.
